Bio

Majka Burhardt's M.O. is "Break Boundaries. Catalyze Connections." As a writer, climber, filmmaker, and speaker Majka passionately creates new conversations and action plans for the vertical and intellectual worlds. Peter Doucette is a climber, photographer, and IFMGA/AMGA Certified Mountain Guide--a credential held by only 77 mountain guides in the US.  He currently trains guides as an Instructor Team member for the American Mountain Guides Association and instructs US Military Special Forces in mountain and high angle rescue operations. Peter's photography has appeared in Patagonia and Climbing, Rock and Ice, and Alpinist Magazines.  Majka is the author of books Coffee Story: Ethiopia and Vertical Ethiopia and Executive Producer of films Waypoint Namibia and the forthcoming Lost Mountain. The have a VW Eurovan, a standard poodle, and live in and out of New Hampshire as they travel, regroup, make a home, and travel some more. 

Together they work with some of the best companies in the outdoor industry including Patagonia, Osprey Packs, Petzl, Scarpa, Outdoor Research, Sterling, and Julbo.

Current projects

Peter is recovering from his Alaska Ruth Gorge Expedition (see the photo stream on SML), and both Peter and Majka are deep in the spring New England rock climbing season and preparing a trip to France and Italy in June.

Majka: The Lost Mountain: A 2,000’ tall granite rock face, species previously unknown to science, and a motley crew of rock climbers, scientists, and conservationists in northern Mozambique. www.thelostmountainfilm.com.
